Heinrich Reinhart (painter, 1844)
Johann Heinrich Reinhart (born May 8, 1844 in Winterthur ; † December 3, 1927 there ) was a Swiss painter .
Life
Born in Winterthur, Heinrich Reinhart studied with Rudolf Koller in Zurich , and then completed further training in Munich , Rome and Paris . During his stay in France he maintained contacts with the artists of Barbizon . Heinrich Reinhart, who subsequently set up his own studio in Winterthur, was appointed drawing teacher there in 1881 at the grammar school and at the secondary school for girls. Here he also taught Marie Valerie of Austria , who came to Winterthur with her mother Sisi for air cures.
Heinrich Reinhart, who emerged as a portrait and genre painter , created portraits of children in particular.
