Heinrich Reule

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich Reule (* 1607 ; † July 26, 1678 in Quedlinburg ) was a German carpenter.

Life

Reule was the father of four children, three of whom were known as master carpenters. Johannes Reule was born on November 3, 1642, Martin Reule on April 7, 1645, Andreas Rühle on February 7, 1651 and Gabriel Rühle on December 7, 1657 . Only the Neuendorf 22, 23 building, erected in 1667, is known as a house created by Heinrich Reule, although it was demolished in 1989. A part of the half-timbered facade was faded in when the new building at Hohe Straße 9 in Quedlinburg was built in order to commemorate Reule, the father of an important generation of Quedlinburg carpenters. However, other half-timbered houses in Quedlinburg may come from him. For example, a mirror-inverted N was noticeable on house Neuendorf 22, 23. Such a letter can also be found on other buildings in Quedlinburg, including a half-timbered house from 1672.

Heinrich Reule died on July 26th, 1678 at the age of 71. He was buried in Quedlinburg's old town cemetery.
