Life
Hans Reule was born as the son of the Quedlinburg master carpenter Heinrich Reule . His siblings also included Andreas Rühle and Gabriel Rühle , who were also known as master carpenters . On November 6, 1666, he married 18-year-old Maria Rohrs. The marriage resulted in 4 daughters and three sons between 1667 and 1679. At the age of 28 he built the building Kaplanei 6 as his first house . Between 1670 and 1680 he built at least nine houses in Quedlinburg, including in 1671 today's hotel "Zur Goldenen Sonne" . His buildings were above average representative. As a design element, he used parapet struts on the first floor and diamond crosses on the second floor. He did without the figure of the half man and St. Andrew's cross . The last building in 1680 was Mühlenstraße 22 , which he built for himself. His wife died on August 21, 1685. Reule then married Catharina Maria Walburg on May 11, 1686.
