Heinrich Scheele (* in Ohrum ; † October 14, 1622 ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and most recently abbot of the Riddagshausen monastery .

Life

Scheele was the son of a farmer. He studied theology at the Universities of Helmstedt and Wittenberg . In 1604 he was introduced as pastor of Big and Small Döhren . In 1607 he became superintendent in Baddeckestedt , in 1611 pastor of Querum and prior of the Riddagshausen monastery. From 1615 until his death he was abbot of the monastery. In 1619 he donated the organ of the Riddagshausen monastery church.

Scheele's funeral sermon was written by the court preacher and later abbot Peter Tuckermann .
