Heinrich Schmitz (politician)
Heinrich Schmitz (born July 30, 1929 in Lissingen , † September 12, 2000 in Gerolstein ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Life
After attending elementary school in Lissingen and the state grammar school in Prüm , Schmitz completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1946, which he completed in 1948 with the assistant test. This was followed by a job at the Gerolsteiner company , where he worked as dispatch manager and deputy head of the personnel department.
Schmitz joined the CDU in 1967. From 1968 he was a member of the city council and alderman in Gerolstein. From 1970 he was chairman of the Gerolstein community and district deputy of the Daun district . He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from November 26, 1973, when he replaced Julius Saxler , who had left the parliament , until 1975. In the state parliament he was a member of the interior committee.
