Heinrich Sellmann

Heinrich Sellmann (born May 15, 1899 in Halstenbek ; † December 10, 1959 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1952 to 1959 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

After completing elementary school , Heinrich Sellmann first worked as an iron weaver, cement skilled worker and auxiliary polisher in the construction industry. He trained at the adult education center and trade union educational institutions such as the ADGB school and the DGB federal school. He then worked as a full-time union secretary.

Sellmann joined the SPD in 1931. Between 1928 and 1933 he was a community representative in Pinneberg . Since 1946 he was a member of the first city ​​council of Pinneberg elected after the Second World War , he remained a city councilor until 1952. Since 1946 he was also a member of the Pinneberg district council and district committee . In 1950/1951 he was elected district president. Sellmann was a member of the supervisory board of the Pinneberger Gemeinnützige Kleinsiedlungsgesellschaft and a member of the district housing construction company. He was chairman of the representative assembly of the regional association of Schleswig-Holstein local health insurance companies and member of the board of the general health insurance company Pinneberg.

Sellmann became a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament on August 19, 1952, when he moved up to the state parliament for a resigning parliamentarian during the current second election period. In the following election in 1954 he was elected to the state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 20 (Pinneberg-Ost). Sellmann was also elected as a direct candidate in the state elections in 1958, this time in constituency 18 (Elmshorn). Sellmann was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament until his death on December 10, 1959. Paul Preuss replaced him in the state parliament on January 7, 1960 .
