Heinrich Volz

Heinrich Volz (born August 8, 1791 in Lauffen am Neckar , † June 12, 1879 in Berg (Stuttgart) ) was a German agriculture teacher and director of the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy .

Live and act

Volz was secretary and registrar at the Royal Court Liquidation Commission in Stuttgart (1816), became chief auditor at the Royal Chamber of Accounts (1817) and the Ludwigsburg Finance Chamber (1818) and finally cashier and assistant director in Hohenheim (1821).

From 1829 he was a teacher of agriculture with the title of court counselor in Hohenheim. In 1832 he became director of the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy (predecessor institution of the University of Hohenheim) and retired in 1837.
