Heinrich Wilhelm von Löwenfinck (* 1678 ; † October 10, 1734 in Meißen ) was a German military and porcelain painter. His three sons Adam Friedrich (1714–1754), Carl Heinrich (1718–1743) and Christian Wilhelm (1720–1753) were also porcelain painters. Another son, who was older than his three brothers named here, died as a child and was buried on April 3, 1713 in Berlstedt in Thuringia.

Life

Heinrich Wilhelm von Löwenfinck was first in the Prussian army in the Alt-Dessau regiment, later as a corporal in the Saxon royal cuirassier regiment, before retiring from military service. His wife Anna Magdalene geb. Sachse (evangelically baptized on August 4, 1687, died 1754) was the daughter of a trader ( Würzkrämer ) and came from Wiehe . The family can be traced back to Naundorf (now a district of Großenhain ) around 1720 .

In November 1727, his eldest son, Adam Friedrich, who was still alive, was accepted as an apprentice in the Meißner porcelain factory at the request of his parents, who were in financial distress, the second son in 1730 and the third son in 1732. Heinrich Wilhelm von Löwenfinck can also be found as a blue painter in Meissen's payroll from 1731, where he died in 1734 at the age of 56.
