Heinrich Ziegler (fencer)

Heinrich Ziegler (born August 31, 1891 ; † before 1919) was a German fencer , Olympic participant and German master who fought for the fencing club Hermannia Frankfurt . He died in the First World War .

successes

Ziegler started at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 in foil singles and with the epee team (together with Emil Schön , Friedrich Schwarz and Hermann Plaskuda ). The team finished together with Great Britain in seventh place among eleven competing teams. In the individual, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

In 1914 he became German champion in foil fencing. His club, FC Hermannia Frankfurt, won the saber title that same year, but the exact team line-up is not known.
