Heinrich Zimmermann (born August 5, 1893 in Berlin , † July 4, 1963 in Gifhorn ) was a German farmer and politician ( DP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and graduating from high school, Zimmermann studied law and political science in Berlin . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . During the war, he suffered gas poisoning from yellow cross grenades. He received his doctorate in 1919 as Dr. rer. pole. and then worked for several years in the private sector at home and abroad. Since 1933 he worked as a self-employed farmer in Isenbüttel .

Act

Zimmermann joined the DP after 1945 , was initially district and district chairman and was later elected deputy state chairman of the party in Lower Saxony . Zimmermann was mayor of the municipality of Isenbüttel in 1945/46 and later served as district administrator for the Gifhorn district .

After 1945 Zimmermann was a member of the district council of the Lüneburg district and a member of the local district council. From 1947 until his resignation on March 29, 1954, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . In 1949 he was a member of the Economic Council of the Bizone . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. In parliament he represented the constituency of Uelzen . Since July 14, 1957 he was a member of the DP / FVP parliamentary group.
