Heinrich von Kügelgen
Heinrich von Kügelgen (* August 26 . Jul / 7. September 1836 greg. In Tallinn , † January 10 jul. / 22. January 1860 greg. In Tartu ) was a Baltic German poet .
life and work
Heinrich Carl von Kügelgen came from a Baltic German aristocratic family . He was born in the Estonian capital Tallinn (German Reval ). Kügelgen worked as a doctor.
Kügelgen became known to a larger audience primarily as a poet. His most famous lyric works include
They appeared posthumously in Jeannot Emil Freiherr von Grotthuss ' anthology, Das Baltische Dichterbuch .
The posthumously published volume Memories from the Past is also dedicated to Heinrich von Kügelgen's work . Songs by an Estonian who was immortalized early on, published in 1888.
Heinrich von Kügelgen died at a young age in Tartu ( Dorpat ) in Livonia of typhus .
