Henry of Munich was the author of a series of Chronicle - Compilations of the 14th century.

Little is known about the life of Heinrich von Munich. He only wrote some of the poems himself, otherwise he brought together what already existed. Even before Heinrich von Munich there were attempts to merge the existing world chronicles into a complete work. The first attempt is the so-called extended Christherre Chronicle .

Using this compilation procedure, Heinrich came up with his report around the year 1250.

Only the first version is by Heinrich himself. The original manuscript is hardly available in full in any of the subsequent manuscripts. The following manuscripts are nevertheless referred to as Heinrich von München World Chronicles . The authors were very sensitive to their work. They mixed very well, sometimes only individual sentences from the works are brought together. That is why one cannot speak of just "bits and pieces", something completely new and unique was created.
