The Heinz-Glas & Plastics Group , headquartered in Kleintettau in Upper Franconia (district of Tettau ), is a group of companies that manufacture and refine glass bottles for the perfume and cosmetics industry. The Heinz-Plastics division has been manufacturing plastic containers and closures since 1955.
history
In 1523 the first glass master with the name Hans Hein (t) z was mentioned in a document in Thuringia. The company Heinz-Glas was founded in 1622, when his descendant Hans Hein (t) z the Elder founded the glassworks and the town of Piesau (Thuringia). In 1661, under Hans Hein (t) z the Younger, another glassworks and thus the town of Kleintettau in Franconia were built . Production is still carried out at both locations today.
Heinz-Glas is still owned by the Heinz family today. Carl-August Heinz is President of the Heinz Group. The 12th generation of the daughter Carletta has been with the company since December 2013. After studying at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, she co-founded City Hunters GbR, where she was responsible for financial accounting, controlling, taxes and payroll accounting until the end of 2013.
At the start, Carletta Steiner-Heinz was significantly involved in the modernization of the company logo and the introduction of a global corporate identity and subsequently devoted herself to sustainability and controlling . She is the main shareholder and was CEO from 2017 to 2018.
In 2018, Heinz-Glas took over the perfume and cosmetic packaging division from the French world market leader for glass refinement, Saverglass .
Locations
Heinz-Glas operates at 16 locations in twelve countries. The glass and plastic production takes place in Germany , India , Peru , Poland and Switzerland . There are processing locations in Germany, India, Poland and the Czech Republic . There are also sales offices in six countries on three continents. In the entire Heinz-Glas-Group , around 3,000 employees generate sales of around € 300 million per year.
