Heinz-Joachim Simon

Heinz-Joachim Simon (born April 15, 1943 in Posen ; † February 28, 2020 in Stuttgart ) was a German writer and specialist book author. He lived near Stuttgart.

life and work

Until 2003 the author was the managing director of an advertising agency and only wrote on the side.

From 2004, however, he concentrated exclusively on his literary work and wrote historical and criminal novels . Following his highly acclaimed novels about the famous war photographer Robert Capa and a six-volume cycle of novels about German history since the 19th century, Simon published a novel about Che Guevara in 2017 .

The author died on February 28, 2020 after a short, serious illness.
