Heinz Benölken

Heinz Benölken (born July 1, 1942 in Ahaus , Westphalia) is a German management consultant and specialist book author. His consulting focus and topics are in the financial services industry, strategy management, corporate development and start-up and health management.

Career

Benölken completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Sparkasse Ost-Münsterland and then studied business administration at the Albertus Magnus University in Cologne. After completing his studies, he worked for Bayerische Vereinsbank, Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband and Nord / LB in corporate banking and strategic controlling from 1969 to 1981. In the meantime, he did his doctorate in December 1974 at the Ruhr University in Bochum with the dissertation "Long-term personnel planning in credit institutes". oec. From 1982 to 1984 he was Head of Controlling at the Provinzial Kiel, today Provinzial Nordwest.

In 1985 Benölken took over the management of the banking and insurance division of a management consultancy. In 1987 he started his own business and founded the Dr. Benölken $ Partner GmbH (renamed "BUB Dr. Benölken Unternehmensberatung GmbH" in 1992), which he led until the company was sold in 2012. The main focus was an IT-supported planning system "Strategic planning in 10 modules", with which the BUB won consulting customers in the credit and insurance industry in the German-speaking area and in Hungary (winner of a World Bank tender).

In 1999 he was the state winner in the start-up competition of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in the state of Berlin. Together with BCF Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaft der Berliner Bankgesellschaft (today: Landesbank Berlin AG), he founded the software company InnoConsult GmbH (IC) based in Kassel and Dresden. After the Berliner Bankgesellschaft was broken down into several successor companies, the IC was merged with the BUB in 2004 and continued as an independent division until the BUB was sold in 2012. In addition, Benölken took part with a team with the business idea "FIT120A - Academy for Health and Joy of Life" in the 2015 StartUp competition of the start2grow-Wirtschaftsförderung Dortmund, the "FIT120A eG - Academy for Health and Joy of Life" and was among the five first prize winners. The core of the business idea is health planning on the basis of an IT-supported system of 10 building blocks with which people can influence their mental and physical fitness through their lifestyle. The implementation took place in 2015 with the establishment of "FIT120A eG", whose chairman Heinz Benölken took over.

Heinz Benölken has been a founding member of the Insurance Controlling Working Group of the International Controller Association (ICV) since 1982 and is still a member there today. He is a founding member and was deputy from 1999 to 2005. Chairman of the German-Bulgarian Society Dresden eV, of which he is still a member today.
