Heinz Dobberstein

Heinz Dobberstein (born May 21, 1925 in Brunow , Oberbarnim district ; † May 17, 2014 ) was a German politician ( PDS )

From 1939 to 1942 Dobberstein trained as a lathe operator in Eberswalde . From 1939 to 1950 he worked as a lathe operator, soldier, locksmith and state-certified masseur. Afterwards he worked at the workers and farmers faculty in Potsdam. From 1953 to 1960 he was department head and secretary for economics at the SED district leadership in Eberswalde / Bernau. In 1954 he began a correspondence course in economics at the Humboldt University in Berlin and the Karl Marx University in Leipzig , which he finished in 1959. From 1960 to 1990 he was commercial and economic director.

In 1990 Dobberstein became a member of the Barnim District Council and in 1993 he became the mayor in Sommerfelde . From 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament . During this time he represented the constituency of Barnim III and was also the senior president .
