Heinz Eckert

Heinz Eckert (born July 1, 1929 in Plettenberg ; † February 2, 2015 in Münster ) was a German musician and composer .

Heinz Eckert was born in Plettenberg in the Sauerland in 1929. He first learned to play the piano and later the accordion. Shortly before the end of the Second World War , he was still used in Kierspe . Heinz Eckert studied music at the Dortmund Conservatory. In the following years he was touring as a pianist with changing band memberships at home and abroad.

He wrote u. a. the music tracks Samba Brazil and Stop the sun . In 1994 Heinz Eckert received a gold record . Altogether he wrote over 300 musical works from the folk song We draw towards the sun to the hit song Sometimes a little beat sometimes a little swing . One of his best known hits was Hang on to the sun .

Heinz Eckert produced groups like "First Ladies" and "Swingin Girls". In their voice guidance, he noted the melody part in the second part in a three-part set and thus achieved a new sound. In the Cologne carnival he became known as the choirmaster of the "Kölschen Mösche". He played as a pianist and produced among others with Heinz Kretschmar and Roland Höppner. Eckert was also an employee of the music publisher Bosworth and Co in Cologne and a freelancer at WDR Cologne.
