Heinz Fuchs (art historian)

Heinz Fuchs (born May 17, 1917 in Vaihingen an der Enz ; † December 3, 2001 in Mannheim ) was a German art historian .

Fuchs received his doctorate in art history in 1939. From 1947 he worked as curator at the Kunsthalle Mannheim , initially under the director Walter Passarge . From 1959 to 1984 he was the director of the museum, his successor being Manfred Fath .
