Heinz Goeschel

Heinz Goeschel (born February 7, 1906 in Munich ; † 1974 ) was a German engineer and chairman of the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

Life

Heinz Goeschel attended grammar school in Munich and completed his subsequent electrical engineering degree at the Technical University there in 1928 after eight semesters. He received his doctorate in 1930 at the Technical University of Braunschweig under Erwin Marx on the subject of "Investigations into the thermal penetration of hard paper". In 1934 he began his industrial activity at Siemens-Schuckertwerke . In 1953 he became a board member there. On November 30, 1955, Heinz Goeschel became honorary senator of the Technical University of Braunschweig . In 1955 and 1956 Goeschel was a board member of the VDI, in 1957 and 1958 he was its chairman. In 1966 he joined the board of Siemens AGa. In 1969 he received the Karmarsch medal from the Hanover University Community .

In Erlangen , Goeschelstrasse was named after him in honor of Heinz Goeschel.
