Heinz Hardt (born September 24, 1936 in Düsseldorf ) is a German engineer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from elementary school in 1951, Hardt completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman in the subject of sanitary installation and heating from 1951 to 1954, obtained the technical college entrance qualification at the evening school in 1955 and then attended the evening school / technical school for heating technology from 1955 to 1957, which he worked as an engineer in accordance with § 3 para 2 of the Engineering Act of May 5, 1970. From 1954 to 1980 he worked as a technical employee at the city administration of Düsseldorf.

Political party

Hardt joined the CDU in 1961, became a member of the district board of the CDU Düsseldorf in 1967 and served as district chairman of the Junge Union Düsseldorf from 1967 to 1971 and as district chairman of the Junge Union Rhein-Wupper from 1969 to 1971. From 1977 to 1986 he was a member of the state board of the CDU Rhineland and in 1987 became a member of the state board of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia.

MP

He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 26, 1970 to June 2, 2005. From 1985 to 2002 he was parliamentary managing director of the CDU parliamentary group. From 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the council and mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf.
