Heinz Lotz (born February 8, 1954 in Marjoss ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and member of the Hessian state parliament . He lives with his wife in his birthplace Marjoss (Steinau an der Straße), has two daughters and a grandchild.

education and profession

At the age of 14, Heinz Lotz began his apprenticeship as a chimney sweep (1968). He worked in this profession for 40 years, most recently as a district chimney sweep. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Hessian state parliament.

politics

Heinz Lotz has been a member of the SPD since 1970. Since 1981 he has been chairman of the SPD district Marjoss and from 1981 to 2011 Heinz Lotz was city councilor in Steinau an der Straße. From 1988 to 1999 he was mayor in Marjoss. Since 1993 he has been a member of the district council in the Main-Kinzig district and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group there. From 1995 to 2006 he was chairman of the SPD Steinau an der Straße and from 2005 to 2008 sub-district chairman of the SPD-Main-Kinzig (until 2012 deputy chairman).

In the state elections in 2008 , 2009 , 2013 and 2018 , he ran in the constituency Main-Kinzig III , but was elected to the Hessian state parliament via the SPD state list. In the SPD parliamentary group, he is the only member of parliament who has trained as a craftsman.

In the Hessian state parliament he is a member of the council of elders and is in the committee for the environment, rural areas and consumer protection, as well as in the sub-committee for expellees , resettlers, refugees and reparations. For the SPD parliamentary group, Lotz is the spokesman for agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing, nature conservation and sustainability.
