Heinz Massingh

Heinz Massingh (born September 17, 1897 in Cologne ; † December 24, 1966 ) was a German manager and economic functionary.

Massingh was the son of the merchant Nikolaus Massingh and his wife Maria née Welker. In 1922 he married Gretel nee Schenk. He studied at the University of Cologne.

Massingh was a board member of A. Riebeck'sche Montanwerke , which was integrated into IG-Farben in 1926. He became the managing partner of the Großalmeroder Schmelztiegelwerke Becker & Piscantor in Großalmerode . From 1952 to 1966 he was President of the Kassel Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

In 1962 he was awarded the Philipps plaque from the Philipps University of Marburg . On October 17, 1966, he was made an honorary senator for his material support of Philipps University . He had campaigned for the bodies of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote the university. He was awarded the Great Federal Cross of Merit.
