Heinz Pensky

Heinz Pensky (born August 22, 1921 in Essen , † November 4, 2009 in Ratingen ) was a German detective, trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Pensky completed an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer. In 1941 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht and then took part in the Second World War as a soldier until 1945 . After the end of the war he joined the police service, studied public law for four semesters at the Administration and Business Academy and then switched to the criminal police service. He was also involved in the police union (GdP) and was state manager of the association in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1954 to 1985 .

Political party

Already in the final phase of the Weimar Republic , Pensky was involved in the socialist youth movement from 1929 to 1933. He joined the SPD in 1953, was elected chairman of the Hösel local SPD association in 1959 and was also a member of the party's sub-district and district boards. From 1975 to 1988 he was deputy chairman of the SPD district association Mettmann .

MP

Pensky was elected to the council of the municipality of Hösel. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1983. In parliament he represented the Düsseldorf-Mettmann I constituency until 1980 and then the Mettmann II constituency until 1983 .

Public offices

Pensky served as deputy district administrator from 1984 to 1989 and then until 1994 as district administrator of the Mettmann district .
