Heinz Quindeau

Heinz Quindeau (born August 28, 1933 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a former German football referee .

Quindeau led 80 game encounters in the top German league , where he made his debut on April 4, 1970 (30th match day) in the 1-0 home win of MSV Duisburg over Eintracht Braunschweig . His last Bundesliga encounter was on May 24, 1980 (33rd matchday) in a 3-2 home win by Bayer 05 Uerdingen over Eintracht Frankfurt .

In the 1973/74 season , the yellow card was used for the first time to punish rule violations . Quindeau made use of it for the first time on August 11, 1973 (1st matchday) in the 3-1 win of FC Bayern Munich in the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf ; it hit Bayern player Georg Schwarzenbeck and Düsseldorf's Dieter Brei . His fellow referees used the yellow card in the remaining eight matches a total of 13 times; only in the matches Borussia Mönchengladbach - Fortuna Köln and MSV Duisburg - Hannover 96 no players were cautioned.
