Heinz Schneider (born January 2, 1960 ) is a former German soccer player. He played two league games at 1. FC Nürnberg in the Bundesliga in the 1985/86 season, before moving to SpVgg Bayreuth in the 2. Bundesliga from 1985 to 1990 with 113 league appearances with 27 goals.

Career

The amateur soccer player Heinz Schneider began his soccer career at the sports club Weiden in 1903. However, he soon aroused the interest of local rivals SpVgg Weiden and made a move. After he scored 26 goals in his last season with the Weidenern, the 1.FCN noticed him. In the summer of 1985 he moved from SpVgg Weiden to Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg . Under coach Heinz Höher , he came on September 28 and October 5, 1985 in the two Bundesliga games against VfB Stuttgart (0: 1) and FC Schalke 04 (0: 2) at the side of teammates Dieter Eckstein , Roland Grahammer and Stefan Reuter twice in the Bundesliga round used. Since he did not calculate any further chances of being used, he made the change to the second division SpVgg Bayreuth during the round. In the Upper Franconia from the Städtisches Stadion am Ellrodtweg there were 20 league games with three goals in 1985/86, but he was relegated to the amateur camp with the black and yellow. Schneider stayed with the Spielvereinigung and immediately won the championship in the Amateur Oberliga Bayern and moved into the promotion round with his teammates. There the Bayreuthers prevailed against Eintracht Trier and SV Sandhausen and returned to the 2nd Bundesliga together with Kickers Offenbach. This was followed by three rounds of permanent relegation battle and in 1990 the final relegation to the amateur camp. Schneider has a total of 113 second division games and 27 goals.
