Roland Grahammer (born November 3, 1963 in Augsburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

societies

From the age of six to thirteen, Grahammer played in the Augsburg district association SpVgg Bärenkeller before he moved to the youth department of FC Augsburg and from there - out of youth at the age of 19 - to the professionals in the 2nd Bundesliga . On August 14, 1982 (2nd match day) - with the substitution in the 76th minute for Jürgen Haller - he made his debut as a professional in the 1-0 away win against MSV Duisburg . His first goal was on December 11, 1982 (19th matchday), the 1: 2 connection goal at 1: 3 at SpVgg Fürth . He stayed at 1. FC Nürnberg , to which he moved to the Bundesliga in 1983 , for five years (one year - in the second season - in the 2. Bundesliga). For the "Club" he played for the first time on August 13, 1983 (1st matchday), which lost to Bayer Uerdingen at home 2: 4; his first goal was on August 23, 1983 (3rd matchday) in a 2-0 home win against Arminia Bielefeld .

In 1988 he moved (with Stefan Reuter ) - like so many regular Nuremberg players in the 1980s - to Bayern Munich . He made his debut for Bayern on July 23, 1988 (1st matchday) in a 3-0 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt . He scored the only two goals for Bayern against Borussia Dortmund : on May 12, 1990 (34th matchday) in a 3-0 home win and on May 17, 1991 (30th matchday) in a 3-2 away win. Internationally at club level he played 18 times, for the first time on 7 September 1988 in a 3-1 home win against Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Cup . Although he was part of the squad until the 1993/94 season , he last played on August 22, 1992 (1-0 home win against 1. FC Kaiserslautern ), as a serious injury led to the premature end of his career.

National team

On December 2, 1980 Grahammer came to his first international match when he lost in Horovice with the U-18 national team 1-0 to Czechoslovakia. In 1984 Grahammer was called up to the U-21 national team twice : on February 28, in a 1-0 win against Belgium (in Koblenz) and on March 27, in a 1-1 draw against the Soviet Union (in Osnabrück).

For the Olympic selection, Grahammer played for the first time on March 25, 1987, in a 2-1 victory over the Israeli B national team (in Tel Aviv). In 1988 he was part of the German squad at the Olympic Games in Seoul and finished in third place at the end of the soccer tournament after defeating Italy 3-0; it is the only victory of a German men's selection team in a tournament against an Italian team. On September 19, 1988 in the 4-1 victory over Tunisia (Olympic group game in Pusan) he scored his only goal for this team.

For winning the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in 1988 he received - together with the German national Olympic football team - the silver laurel leaf.
