Heinz Schulze (born January 3, 1923 ) was a football player in the top division of the GDR football association , the Oberliga . There he played for BSG Chemie Karl-Marx-Stadt and SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt .

In the summer of 1953, as a 30-year-old, Schulze joined the company sports club (BSG) Chemie Karl-Marx-Stadt , which at that time was playing in the second-rate GDR league . Coach Heinz Hartmann put him on as a right wing striker from the first match day of the 1953/54 season, and Schulze played 18 of the 26 point games played in his first Karl-Marx-Städter season. With 13 goals, he was the BSG's second best scorer behind Ralf Huebner (20). Schulze was one of the assets of the team that had made it to the league at the end of the season.

In the following league season 1954/55 Schulze initially lost his regular place. After he had played the first two point games, he was then only used sporadically. Of the 26 games he played in the league, he only played ten games, scored only two goals and only acted as a substitute in three games. From 1956 GDR football was played according to the calendar year rhythm, the football section of BSG Chemie switched to the newly founded SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt and the league team received a new coach in Walter Fritzsch . Schulze found his way back to his previous level of play and was only absent from three point games in the 1956 season. Fritzsch used him regularly as a right winger, and Schulze scored three goals. The 1957 season was again marked with failures for Schulze. Again he played only ten point games and only came back to two goals.

For the SC Motor, the season ended with relegation to the first GDR league . There Schulze got along better, again playing as a right striker, he made 18 appearances in the 26 rounds of the 1958 season, but fell short of expectations with just one goal. The entire team was also bitterly disappointed, because within a year they were passed into the third-class 2nd GDR league. The now 36-year-old Schulze played his last season there for SC Motor. With only sporadic missions he was no longer part of the regular formation, and when the team reached the promotion round to the I. GDR League, he was no longer used. With the record of 43 league games with seven goals, 36 appearances in the first GDR league and 14 hits, as well as some third division games with one goal, Schulze was adopted in winter 1959 at SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt.
