Heinz Weinhold-Stünzi

Heinz Weinhold-Stünzi (born November 28, 1926 in St. Gallen ; † February 17, 2004 there ) was a Swiss business economist .

Weinhold studied at the then University of St. Gallen , he received his doctorate in 1956 and his habilitation in 1961 . In 1963 he became an associate professor and from 1965 to 1992 he was a full professor of business administration with a special focus on marketing .

In 1957 he was co-founder and first head of the research center for trade at the institute for business administration at the university. This research center became independent in 1967 under his direction as a research institute for sales and trade and in September 2000 it was renamed into today's Institute for Marketing and Trade (IMH-HSG).

Weinhold was married and, as a militia officer, was a colonel in the transport troops of the Swiss Army .
