Heka-pa-chered was the childlike form of the god Heka , the personified creative power. As a child god he was worshiped in Esna as the son of Khnum and Menhit . Heka-pa-chered stands in the temple of Esna in front of Khnum on a pedestal with the symbol of the "unification of both countries".

Heka-pa-chered's independent iconography appears for the first time in the third interim period, roughly at the same time as that of Hor-pa-chered (designation of Horus as a child), so that it cannot be said who was the first child god to appear.

The divine family relationships remain unclear. Heka-pa-chered was nicknamed “firstborn of Re , firstborn of Khnum, firstborn of Khnum-Re, firstborn of Ptah , son of Menhit, son of Sekhmet , son of Nebetuu , son of Tefnut , son of Renenutet and child from the eye of Re ”.

In addition, he appeared in the manifestations Harmachis , Harsomtus , Chons-pa-chered , Neferhotep-pa-chered , Re-nechen and Hu , where Hu ( the saying ) is one of the ancient creation deities of the Old Kingdom .
