hela Profi Zentrum was a German retail chain with headquarters in Völklingen . At the individual locations, it operates with the four specialist stores hela Baupark , hela GartenMeister , hela WohnExpress and hela Autoteile Park . The hela Markt grocery chain also existed until 2003 .
The hela group originally belonged to the Distributa group of companies. On July 17, 2007, the 33 hela specialty stores of Distributa (including 31 in Germany, 2 in Luxembourg) were sold to Globus SB-Warenhaus Holding (Globus Fachmärkte GmbH & Co. KG, St. Wendel). The merger was approved by the Federal Cartel Office with the condition to sell four hela or Globus hardware stores, one each in the Merzig-Wadern, St. Wendel, Saarpfalz-Zweibrücken and Idar-Oberstein areas.
