Helen Mutkins (* 20th century ) is an Australian actress .

life and career

Helen Mutkins was born around 1960 and grew up with two brothers and a sister in Artarmon near Sydney . After attending the Catholic School Our Lady of Dolours and Monte Sant 'Angelo, she studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). During her studies, she wrote the play Strictly Ballroom with Baz Luhrmann , Sonia Todd , Catherine McClements and four other fellow students , which Luhrmann later filmed as a director . The eight founded a theater group called The Bond and won with their play at the International Youth Theater Festival in Bratislava . After graduating from NIDA in 1985 toured Mutkins with acting legend Lauren Bacall with the Tennessee Williams -Theaterstück Sweet Bird of Youth by Australia. She works in front of the camera without exception in Australian film and television productions. She was best known for her roles in Weekend with Kate and her participation in the television series A Country Practice . In the German-speaking countries she is known from a supporting role in the miniseries Bangkok Hilton .

Helen Mutkins turned to acting teaching and received her diploma in 2001. Her first position was at Copperfield College in Sydenham near Melbourne and subsequently moved to other schools.

Helen Mutkins is married to computer science teacher John Broughton and has a son and a daughter.
