Catherine McClements (born 1965 in Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian actress . She is the sister of former Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Major Events Company , Brendan McClements , and television producer Georgina McClements .

life and career

Catherine McClements was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1965. After playing theater for two years at St Martin's Youth Arts Center in Melbourne, she attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney at the age of 17 . In 1985 she graduated with Baz Luhrmann , Sonia Todd and Justin Monjo . While studying librarianship at Melbourne University , she starred in My Brother Tom and What Remains of Life . This was followed by appearances in Don't Give Up, Pat and Weekend With Kate . For Weekend With Kate she won an AFI Award in 1990 in the category "Best Actress in a Film". In 1993 she played the role of Lorien in the eleven-part miniseries The Girl from Tomorrow Part II: Tomorrow's End . In 1996 her greatest success followed, the role as Detective Senior Constable Rachel "Goldie" Goldstein in the Australian crime series Water Rats - Die Hafencops . There she was seen in 116 episodes from 1996 to 2000. After leaving the series, appearances in the television film Waiting at the Royal and in Better Than Sex followed . From 2001 to 2002 she was seen in the television series The Secret Life of Us in the supporting role of Carmen , for which she won the 2001 AFI Award in the category "Best Actress in a Guest Role in a TV Series". A year later, she starred in 13 episodes as Rosie Harfield in the short-lived drama series CrashBurn .

2005 followed an appearance in Mary Bryant - Escape from Hell as Marleen , and 2006 in the short film Sexy Thing and in an episode of the television series Real Stories . After a year off in 2008 was followed by a role in the TV movie Emerald Falls and 2010 in an episode of American US drama series The Pacific of pay TV -Senders HBO . From 2008 to 2011 she played the role of Kerry Vincent in the Australian drama series Rush . Since 2009 she can also be seen in Tangle as Christine Williams .

Catherine McClements is married to actor Jacek Koman . They have a daughter (* 2001) and a son (* 2007) together.
