Helena Ramsbacher

Helena Ramsbacher (born August 29, 1964 in Villach ), formerly Helena Bekavac-Ramsbacher , is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and hotelier. Ramsbacher was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1994 to 1996 and a member of the Federal Council from 1997 to 1999 .

Life

Ramsbacher attended elementary school in Spittal an der Drau between 1970 and 1974 and then from 1974 to 1978 the local grammar school. Subsequently, Ramsbacher switched to the higher education institute for tourism professions, which she completed between 1978 and 1984. Ramsbacher worked in various positions in the hotel and tourism industry. She is the owner of the “Small Luxury Hotel Das Tyrol” in Vienna . In July 2016 she founded the first 5-star hotel on the Croatian island of Brač , which is called Lemongarden and is located in the village of Sutivan .

Politically engaged as a member of the district party leadership of the FPÖ Spittal an der Drau and was a member of the state party leadership of the FPÖ Carinthia. In addition, she was a member of the board of directors of the hotelier association and held various positions in tourist and tourism associations. She represented the FPÖ between November 10, 1994 and January 14, 1996 in the National Council and was a member of the Federal Council from March 20, 1997 to April 7, 1999.

In 2001, their son, Hans-Peter Haselsteiner, was born.
