Helene von Lerber

Helene von Lerber (born December 31, 1896 in Trubschachen ; died April 13, 1963 in Bern ) was a Swiss writer .

Life

Helene von Lerber was the daughter of pastor Theodor von Lerber with his wife, née Helene Landis. The Swiss entrepreneur Heinrich Landis was her maternal grandfather, and on her father's side it was the school founder Theodor von Lerber .

Lerber studied in the 1920s, achieved an academic doctorate (Dr. phil.) And then taught at the teachers 'seminar at the New Girls' School in Bern . She was involved in numerous associations. For her literary work as a narrator and biographer, she received the Hall Medal in 1924 and the City of Bern Literature Prize in 1947 and 1956 .
