Helga Koch

Helga Koch (born January 3, 1942 in Offenbach am Main ; now Helga Würtz ) is a former German fencer and took part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico . She fought for FC Offenbach .

Koch successfully fought at FC Offenbach and was appointed to the Olympic team in 1968. There she took fifth place out of ten participating teams together with Heidi Schmid , Gudrun Theuerkauff , Monika Pulch and Helga Volz-Mees .

After her active fencing career, Koch worked as an artist under the name Helga Würtz. Her favorite subjects include fencing scenes and nudes and flower pictures. Her works have now been exhibited in several cities.
