Gudrun Theuerkauff , b. Vorbrich , (born April 8, 1937 in Stettin ) is a former German fencer .

Before the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, Gudrun Vorbrich married her teammate from OFC Bonn Jürgen Theuerkauff and, as Gudrun Theuerkauff-Vorbrich, was fourth with the foil team , while her husband also won team bronze with the foil . After these Olympic Games she only started as Gudrun Theuerkauff.

At the Olympic Games in 1964 , Heidi Schmid , Rosemarie Scherberger , Helga Mees and Gudrun Theuerkauff failed in the semifinals against the later Olympic champions from Hungary. In the small final, the Germans fought the Italians and won bronze. For this she received the silver bay leaf on December 11, 1964 .

After the Olympic Games in 1968 , when she was fifth again with the team, she withdrew from competitive sports, now the mother of three children. After the German team had been unsuccessful in the fencing world championship in 1971 , Gudrun Theuerkauff was persuaded to make a comeback and in 1972 took part in the Olympic Games in Munich for the fourth time. With the team she was again fifth.

The trained sports teacher never won an individual title at a German championship, second place in 1967 remained her best performance. Due to her energy, she was successful as a team fencer for many years and was once third, once fourth and twice fifth with the team at the Olympic Games.
