Helga Miketta

Helga Miketta (born March 23, 1941 ) is a German sportswoman who runs half marathons .

Helga Miketta starts the half marathon in age group W70. She was German champion three times and was European champion in Regensburg in 2007 and Thionville / France in 2011 with a time of 1:44:02. At the 23rd half marathon in September 2011 at Fühlinger See near Cologne , she was world champion in the W70 age group with a time of 1:40:31. At the 51st Essen Marathon on October 13, 2013, Miketta set a new world record in her age group for the third time in a row. She passed the finish line after 3: 33.15 hours. On October 30, 2016, she secured the German record in her age group W75 at the Frankfurt Marathon with a time of 4:07:58 hours. At the 36th Frankfurt Marathon on October 29, 2017, Miketta defended her world title with a time of 4:12:23 hours. In her age group W75, Miketta secured her sixth victory in a German marathon championship in Düsseldorf on April 29, 2018 with 4:17:22 hours.

Miketta lives in Düren- Rölsdorf and starts for the Birkesdorfer gymnastics club.
