Helga Peskoller

Helga Peskoller (* 1956 ) is an Austrian educator, mountaineer and professor at the University of Innsbruck .

Life

Peskoller's parents from Hall in Tirol were hut landlords at the Bettelwurfhütte from 1959 to 1982 , where the three daughters spent the summer holidays for 20 summers. Helga climbed the beggar throw at the age of 9 and was an extreme mountaineer until 1992.

In 1975 she began teaching geography and philosophy, psychology and pedagogy at the University of Innsbruck . After graduation to Magistra 1982, she continued her studies in Innsbruck continued, this time with a major in Education and a minor in psychology . In July 1988 she was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. Since 1982 she had worked as a contract assistant and lecturer at the university. In 1996 he completed his habilitation with a license to teach educational science. After working as a university lecturer from 2000 to 2010 and a visiting professorship in Saint Petersburg in 2010, Helga Peskoller became a university professor for educational science at the University of Innsbruck in 2011 with a focus on historical anthropology and aesthetic education. From 2012 to 2013 she was the executive dean of the Faculty of Education.

Peskoller became a mother at the age of 20 and has one grandchild. She lives and works in Hall in Tirol.
