history

Members of the vocal ensemble were the front woman Helga Wille as well as Henny Kraus, Gretel Ratajczak and Gisela Hildebrand. After the death of Gretel Ratajczak, Helga Kordes joined them. One of the group's big hits is “Mr. Moneymaker ”, recorded in 1949 together with the Helmut Zacharias Quintet by Polydor (published by Amiga ). The song was used for the film "Artist's Blood" (1949). With Zacharias, the group also recorded "My Mother's Music Box". Other hits of the group are "Oh, Mr. Crosby", "Meine Mama knows Bescheid" and "Die Zeit mit Dir" (recorded in 1948 for the film The apple is off ). The ensemble had several appearances in the DEFA film “ And again 48 ”. Despite the musical quality of the group, it has largely been forgotten today.
