Helge Schwarzer (born November 26, 1985 in Gehrden ) is a former German athlete. His specialty is the 110 meter hurdles .

Life

Schwarzer lived as a teenager at the sports boarding school in Hanover and attended the nearby Humboldtschule Hanover , where he graduated from high school. He then began studying business administration at the University of Hamburg . He came to athletics at LG Wennigsen / Egestorf . In 2006 he moved to Hamburger SV .

He was second at the German Championships in 2009 and 2010. Internationally, Schwarzer was able to reach the semi-finals at the European Indoor Championships in Turin in 2009 and at the World Championships in Berlin in the same year. He also reached the semi-finals at the 2010 World Indoor Championships in Doha and the 2012 World Indoor Championships in Istanbul . He ended his career in November 2014.

Since the beginning of 2014, Schwarzer has been active alongside competitive sports as a private trainer at AthletesforALL in Hamburg .

  • 60 meter hurdles (hall): 7.58 seconds, February 4, 2012 in Luxembourg
