The slipway van Nieuwkerke is a 65 m high mountain in the Heuvelland between Dranouter and Nieuwkerke in the Belgian province of West Flanders .
Geographical description
The Helling van Nieuwkerke is part of the so-called southern ridge of the Heuvelland, this also includes the mountains Ravelsberg , Zwarte Molen , Helling van Nieuwkerke, Kraaiberg and Rozenberg .
To the south of this ridge is the Leie basin , to the north of it the central ridge on which the Kemmelberg is located.
Hydrology
The Douve River lies between the southern and central ridge of the hills . All waters south of the central ridge flow to the Leie, all waters north of it to the Yser .
