Helmut Braselmann (born September 18, 1911 , † January 23, 1993 ) was a German field handball player .
He was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics . He played another match in addition to the final. He also won the 1st field handball world championship in 1938 with the German team.
In 1936 Braselmann was a member of Tura Barmen, a predecessor club of Grün-Weiß Wuppertal , with whom he rose to the handball league in 1951 , the top division of West Germany at the time.
