Helmut Chmelik
Helmut Chmelik (* 1942 ; † July 14, 2010 ) was an Austrian basketball player .
career
Chmelik played for Asturia Klosterneuburg in the top division of Austria and particularly triumphed in the 1975/76 season, when he was the fifth best basket scorer in the league and thus the best Austrian player in this statistical category.
Professionally, he worked as a senior secondary school teacher at the Klosterneuburg secondary school, Langstögergasse. He is credited with having considerably promoted basketball in Klosterneuburg, among other things in school life.
