Helmut Deutsch (organist)
Helmut Deutsch (born November 20, 1963 in Saarlouis ) is a German organist and professor.
German studied church music A, music education, piano and concert organ with Paul Schneider and Andreas Rothkopf , piano with Walter Blankenheim , additionally privately with Zsigmond Szathmáry in Freiburg and Xavier Darasse in Toulouse at the Hochschule für Musik Saar . Among other things, he is a prize winner of the Franz Liszt Competition in Budapest . After graduating, he was initially a freelance concert organist and music teacher. From the summer semester 2000 to 2013 he was a professor at the Freiburg State University of Music . From 2004 to 2009 he was a frequent guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Music in London, he gave organ courses a. a. in Haarlem, Tokyo, Seoul (Yonsei and Ewha University). In the 2013/2014 winter semester, he accepted a call to the Stuttgart University of Music . His concert activities have taken him to many European countries, Russia and Asia.
