Helmut Flämmich (born September 12, 1932 ) is a former German soccer player. In 1952/53 he played for BSG Motor Jena in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In the 1952/53 season, the company sports community (BSG) Motor Jena played for the first time in the GDR league. The team of players also included the 20-year-old Helmut Flämmich, who had not previously appeared in the league football of the Jena first team . He did not get into the starting eleven, he was only used sporadically four times as a half-right striker, with his last appearance in the encounter on the 27th match day BSG Wismut Gera - BSG Motor Jena (2-1) scored his only top division goal. The BSG Motor rose again after one season in the second-rate GDR league , where Flmmich 1953/54 was initially a substitute again. It was not until the second half of the season that he was regularly called up in eight league games, having previously played eight point games at irregular intervals. Playing in the half-right attack, he scored five goals this season. Even in 1954/55 Flemmich could not improve his quota. He played in twelve GDR league games, in which he was only eight times over the full game on the field. In the fall of 1955, a transition round to switch to the calendar year mode was held in GDR football. In the GDR league there were thirteen games in which Flmmich only participated twice and scored one goal. He then ended his career in higher-class football, where he had played four league games (one goal) and 28 GDR league games (eight goals).
