Helmut Halupka

Helmut Halupka (* 3. October 1948 in Jerichow ) is a German politician of the SPD and from 1998 to 2002 member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1967, Halupka graduated from high school with vocational training as a mining machinist. From 1968 to 1972 he worked as an engineer for company organization. After completing his distance learning degree in 1973, he worked as a planning manager until 1977. From 1978 to 1984 Halupka was employed as economic director. Then he was operations director in the Keisbaubetrieb (meanwhile Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH Genthin) until the fall of the Berlin Wall . From 1990 he was its managing partner.

Halupka is married and has one child.

Political party

Halupka joined the SDP in 1989 .

MP

Helmut Halupka is the 1st deputy chairman of the district council of Jerichower Land . He has also been a city councilor in Genthin since 1994 , where he is chairman of the SPD city council group. Halupka was a member of the state parliament from 1998 to 2002 . He represented the Genthin constituency and was a member of the Housing, Urban Development and Transport Committee.
