Helmut König (political scientist)

Helmut König (born March 27, 1950 in Eslohe (Sauerland) ) is a German political scientist and was a university professor at the Institute for Political Science at RWTH Aachen University from 1994 to July 2017 .

König studied political science, history and philosophy in Munich and Berlin , where he received his doctorate . His research focuses on political philosophy , National Socialism and coming to terms with the past .

König has been co-editor of the social science journal Leviathan since 1989 .
