Helmut Kater
Helmut Kater (born August 30, 1927 in Danzig ; † September 7, 2012 in Timmendorfer Strand ) was a German SPD politician .
Kater was an industrial clerk and teacher by profession, but also worked as a trade union official and labor director. He was a member of the German Bundestag for two electoral terms from 1969 to 1976 . In both elections, Kater moved into the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Wetzlar constituency . From February 14, 1973 to January 16, 1975 he was also a member of the European Parliament .
