Helmut Konrad (politician, 1954)

Helmut Konrad (born May 16, 1954 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein teacher and politician (FBP).

biography

Konrad studied German language and literature and history at the University of Bern and, after completing his teaching degree, taught from 1980 to 2002 as a teacher at the Liechtenstein grammar school . During this time he was Vice Rector of the school administration from 1987 to 2002. Since 2002 he has been the department head for secondary and higher education in the Principality of Liechtenstein's Education Office. He is also an advisory member of the University Council of the Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein .

From 1997 to 2005 Konrad was a member of the State Parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) . In the local elections in 2003, he ran for the post of community leader of Schaan , but was defeated by incumbent Daniel Hilti by the Patriotic Union .
