Helmut Lubowski , also Hellmuth Lubowski (born March 10, 1903 in Katowice ; † July 7, 1986 in Hamburg ), was a German architect. He was mainly active in Hamburg.

Life

Lubowski studied at the State Academy for Arts and Crafts in Breslau and was a student of Adolf Rading here . He went to Hamburg, where he worked for Karl Schneider before going into business for himself. Before 1933 he created buildings in the style of white modernism . After the end of World War II , he was involved in various public and private reconstruction projects in Hamburg.

  • 1950 Listed residential building Brahmsallee 62, Hamburg (together with Sammy Engel and Gerhard Abel)
  • (Simplified) reconstruction of the representation and public rooms of the Deutsche Bank building in Hamburg
  • 1956–1958 Christ Church in Hamburg-Hamm , listed ensemble with pastorate and parish hall
